Privacy Policy — Back in Stock (Restock Alerts)

This Privacy Policy describes how the Back in Stock app ("the App," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install the App on their Shopify store, and when customers use the App's storefront features.

Information We Collect

When a customer signs up for a restock notification via the App's storefront widget, we collect:

• Email address — to send the restock notification
• Product and variant ID — to know which item to notify them about
• Shop domain — to associate the signup with the correct merchant's store

We do not collect payment information, physical addresses, or any other personal data beyond what's listed above.

How We Use This Information

We use the information solely to:

• Detect when a signed-up product is restocked
• Send an email notification to the customer informing them the product is available again

We do not sell, rent, or share customer data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use Resend (resend.com) as our email delivery provider to send restock notification emails. Resend processes the recipient's email address solely to deliver these transactional emails, in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Customer signup data is retained until:

• The customer is notified of a restock, or
• The merchant uninstalls the App (at which point all associated data is deleted), or
